i am willing to switch my service from t-mobile, because it sucks in my area and i am ALWAYS loosing service on important calls, but right now i absolutly need to keep the same #. anyone got any suggestions?

No. It is not possible to hold the same number across different mobile networks.

You can get Cingular its really a good mobile netwrk. But definitely your number will change.

If you have a doubt then u can call to the customer care of the Cingular to get more help.
