Does anyone know when the apple iPhone will be released to any other provider than AT&T?

every different country has a different provider, all are GSM.
after 5 years when the contract is done... it will still not be available on Verizon.
Not because they blew the first chance for it, but because Apple has released a GSM phone not compatible with Verizon or Sprint.
It works on T-Mobile today with a quick hack!

I have Verizon and I want to stay with them, but iPhone is only available for AT&T. When is it available for Verizon?
