Nokia 9300 or Cingular 2125?

Question asked by tipsu21
I am debating on those or.. Or might you suggest another phone with simiar features. My contract with Cingular ends in February 2007. Should I switch providers, if so, who should I go with? I am 30 minutes outside of Washington DC.

Depends on what you are going to use the device for. The Nokia 9300 uses Blackberry and has Symbian OS. The Cingular 2125 is a Windows Mobile 5.0 device. Are you familiar with either operating system? It might determine which device you'd be more comfortable using. I personally prefer the Cingular 8125 since it has wifi (neither of the other phones do) and I like the layout of the phone (large screen, sliding QWERTY keypad). It's very easy to create and edit Word and Excel files. It's also a Windows Mobile 5.0 device. As for the service, compare actual coverage maps from all the carriers and look at the areas you will need your service to work. If you are happy with your service, then you can upgrade now, as Cingular lets you upgrade 6 months before your contract ends (if you signed a 2yr contract).
