Control your messages:

With most messaging tools, when you send a message you lose control of what happens to it next. With the IONU app, you have the ability to control what happens when the recipient receives your message and attachments. Control over what happens to your messages can be set globally (affecting every message that you send), per a particular contact or on a message-by-message basis. You can set your messages to have read and delivery receipts, to “vanish” once they are read or set how long the message will be available to the recipient before it vanishes.

Use all of your devices:

The IONU app allows you to send and receive, truly secure encrypted messages and attachments (both in transit and at rest) from as many of your devices as you want. You can send and receive messages from your phones, tablets and your messages with be synchronized across them all. No matter what device you are using, the ability to communicate privately is right at your fingertips.

True Privacy:

Your messages and attachments are encrypted both on your device and while being sent. Messages can only be sent to another IONU user for which a Secure Contact has been established. Unlike other providers of secure messaging tools who have access, and in some case rights to view your messages, IONU does not have access to your messages. So, we (along with everyone else) can’t read them or provide them to anyone else, even if we wanted to…and we don’t.

Keep your contacts secure:

You can establish a set of “Secure Contacts” that the IONU app keeps encrypted and safe from the collection of address book and contacts list by outside sources. IONU Secure Contacts are established via an invitation process. Your Secure Contacts represent the people that you have invited to with message securely and have accepted your invitation. This way, you never end up in someone’s contact list that you don’t want to by in. And, you’ll never get SPAM messages, advertisements from within the IONU app.

User Administration Web Portal:

With IONU you can securely manage your account from any web browser. This allows you to remotely update your user settings, privacy preferences and manage your devices. If your device is lost or stolen you can disable or delete it from your account.
